From the time you find out you're expecting to the day your child is born, and all the moments that follow - you’re grasping to hold onto each fleeting second as they go flying past.

So let’s stop, slow down and be present. Let’s simply notice, appreciate, and capture the things that are not everlasting, like that beautiful, growing belly, those tiny newborn toes, or the skinned knees and cheeky grin.

My style is intentional and emotive - beautiful, yet real. It’s visual storytelling told from a place of love, wonder and an appreciation of what is.

Hey There!

I’m Darcy. Mum, photographer, yogi, traveller, lover of nature, dog person, wine drinker and adventure seeker… and I’ve been in your shoes. As a mum to two young girls who is simply trying to get to the end of each day with us all in one piece, I am all too familiar with the phrase: the days go by slow but the years go by fast. Where does the time go? Wait, what do you mean you can put your shoes on by yourself??

I’ve taken photos for the last 15 years because I absolutely love it. It’s the creative outlet I not only crave, but need. I’ve worked in design, where I art directed photoshoots, and I’ve taken numerous courses in photography, where I learned all the technical skills. But when my daughter was born photography suddenly became something more than a creative outlet. The photographs themselves became memory keepers… something my tired mum brain just wasn’t able to do in the same way a photograph can.

That’s why I do what I do. I want to help you remember this exact moment in time - whether that’s by photographing your gorgeous growing belly, your newborn baby’s early days earth-side, or your little one in all their crazy, toddler-ness (if you know, you know). Because these beautiful, fleeting moments don’t last. And it’s the little moments and tiny details that often go forgotten, that give your unique story colour, life and magic.
